Dear blog family, I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday and that you had a great week of "setting yourself on fire" as was our success theme for last week.
I would like to think that you are stoked and excited about following your dreams! If you have been following my blog, I hope you feel inspired and encouraged to live in purpose and have found motivation here along the way. I would like to remind you to use the search box on the right side-bar to find material me and others have written over the years that may provide answers to questions you may have. Over 300 articles "exploring success" have been published on this blog. So there is no shortage of inspirational reads you may need.
Today, I would like to remind you that hard-work pays off.
However, before you even get to reap the benefits of your hard-work, you alone will be in charge for your success … and many a time, it will be up to you to talk yourself into not quitting.
Life presents everyone of us with challenges – whether we are rich or poor, average or great, just getting by or super wealthy. Everyone encounters challenges—a different set depending on their circumstances. So, never think that you are the only one facing difficulties in certain areas of your life. Some people find it hard to simply make ends meet and put a descent meal on the table for their families, while at the other end of the spectrum, others have an abundance of money, but can't figure out how to be happy.
Regardless of where you are in life, being thankful and content about your blessings makes room for your heart's desires to flow toward you. Being grateful also allows us to be calm in spirit, providing the clarity we need to keep working hard for our dreams.
Many a time, the successful person has to "pep talk" themselves into staying the course as they focus on the goal infront of them. What is the target you are looking to hit today, this week? What are you saying to yourself that will enable you to focus and hit that target? And are you your number 1 fan?
…or are you letting fear get in your way?
I always like to focus on "you" in our success discussions. Because success is about you – your mindset, your thought process, your expectations, your choices, how you are reacting, what you are allowing, or not giving room for, etc. It's about you defying the odds and rising where others would fall. It's not so much about the other person, what they are or are not doing, their reactions, their choices, how they treat you… no, no, no… point a finger at yourself first, hold yourself accountable first. Only then are you in control, only then do you have the power to reset, to readjust, to tweak, to enjoy, to relish, to win.
"You can't get there by bus, only by hard work and risk and by not quite knowing what you're doing. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover will be yourself." – Alan Alda
This coming week, I would like to remind you to do you, and not hold back from working hard for your goals. Hard-work pays off, it actually brings out the best in us…it lightens the spirit. Its results are succulent. You gave your best, now there is no room for regrets. Your best life lies ahead of you and yes, you can do it.
Cheers to your success!
