"It can never be bought or borrowed or sold. A gift to be cherished, true friendship is a treasure beyond compare." – Unknown Source
Wow … it's another Friday already. I feel like time is going by so fast — days merging into days faster than we are able to keep up. Do you have the same feeling?
Fall is upon us — temperatures are dropping, and the atmosphere is permeated with freshness. I woke up this morning thinking about friends – those beautiful, steady and loyal pillars in our lives. We all need them and we all have some. Why don't we celebrate them more?!
When you think of friends, who comes to mind? What qualities have kept them in your life year in and year out?
I'll do my best to paint a picture of who true are friends are and if I leave any qualities out, which I surely will, please comment and share with us.
– Roses without thorns. Dignified, genuine, their intentions towards us are good & honorable day in and day out. They come in different colors and flavors, making ordinary moments memorable.
– Angels in human form. Kind, gentle, trustworthy. An angel's presence may not always be obvious, but one knows they are present.
"Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow; Don't walk behind me, I may not lead; Walk beside me, and just be my friend." – Albert Camus
– Strong, but not abrasive. A friend is a strong yet softly-cushioned support system that we fall back on, trusting that we will not get hurt. Being vulnerable with a friend is never a thing to be embarrased about, but a moment of just being you.
“Friendship that flows from the heart cannot be frozen by adversity, as the water that flows from the spring cannot congeal in winter.” – James F. Cooper
– True friendship is a reassuring flow of energy. With true friends, misunderstandings never end in good-byes. Feedback is not criticism. Love and loyalty mark the center fold.
Today I seize the opportunity to say "thank you" to our readers. My Face2Face with Success family is the reason I continue to write, the reason I am forced to grow in consistency and determination as a writer and a leader. Blogging has taught me discipline. It's been a sweet journey since 2009 and you have been there from the beginning. That's what loyalty is about. You are truly appreciated. I look forward to staying connected with you as we continue to explore life and success together.
You are my friend, today I say "thank you"!
So! I encourage you to reach out to a friend, colleague, business associate who may not be expecting it, and say "thank you". In spreading love, we feel love. In reaching out, we reach in and become better friends, parents, spouses, siblings, leaders. I hope you have an amazing day.
Cheers to your success!
"The only service a friend can really render is to keep up your courage by holding up to you a mirror in which you can see a noble image of yourself." – George Bernard Shaw
