What is POOR?

The poorest person in the world is not the person without a nickel, but the person without a dream. Do you go to bed dreaming, then wake up the next day still dreaming? You should be asking yourself when are you going to stop dreaming and start living your dreams. The only thing that can stop you from realizing your dreams is you – the person you see when you look in the mirror.

The greatest risk in life is not taking a risk. The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over and expecting different results. You have to step out of your comfort zone and start doing the things you don’t feel like doing. How often do you take New Year’s resolutions at the beginning of a new year and find those same resolutions back  on your list the next year? The most common one is we all want to loose weight but end up gaining more pounds by the end of the year. Doing the same things, while expecting different results – insanity. We keep eating the fries, and the burgers while hoping to loose weight. We know that simple things like eating an apple a day will keep you away from the doctor but we only eat one every now and then, but expect to stay healthy. There are no quick fixes to our problems. It usually takes sacrifice and difficult decisions.

You start by facing yourself and making a decision to advance and improve your living standards. I had to take bold steps and go where most people are afraid to.

Do not allow ‘dreamstealers’ to influence your decisions, it is time to start living your dreams. Make concrete strides towards a bright future. You can make it to the next level if only you chose to do so.

I have also come to realize that sometimes our egos and a lack of knowledge and understanding of other opportunities get in the way of possibly launching us to the next level. We ignore proven systems or opportunities that have worked for many people, while selfishly hoping for that one and only opportunity that nobody else knows about.

I now realize that true wealth can only be built by creating a strong network. We have to follow proven principles and learn to network. Think about it: you are either networking and building your own network or working in some else’s network.

Take advantage of the opportunities that are around you or are still to come, instead of looking somewhere else for something you can’t lay your hands on.  The world is changing; the old ways of doing things are gone. It’s a 1099 world, it’s the entrepreneur age.

The question is “Do you want to stay POOR – my definition of POOR is Passing Over Opportunities Regularly, or will you step out and make your dreams a reality?”
