WHO IS SELF CONFIDENT?
We have had some awesome discussions on Self-Esteem these past couple of days. I must tell you, the feedback has been great as many of us have taken a second look at how we approach others by asking ourselves if we are self-esteem boosters or destroyers.
Today, let's have some fun like we always do on Blog Face2Face with SELF-CONFIDENCE. I am looking at the following list myself and I see some aspects of my self-confidence that I need to work on. Let's look deep, beyond the glitter of the outside and build on true self-confidence.
When you feel good about yourself, your self-esteem levels go up and so does your self-confidence. So, who is self-confident?
1. A person who is not afraid to take risks.
It’s not who you are that holds you back, it’s who you think you’re not – Author Unknown
2. One who is self-motivated.
Success comes in cans, not can’t – Author Unknown
3. One who takes control of their life and takes responsibility for their actions.
Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted –Ralph W Emerson
4. A person who is loving and lovable.
“If you aren’t good at loving yourself, you will have a difficult time loving anyone, since you’ll resent the time and energy you give another person that you aren’t even giving to yourself.” – Barbara De Angelis
5. One who is not afraid of criticism.
A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him or her –David Brinkley
6. A person who respects and tolerates others.
When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you – African Proverbs
7. One with Integrity.
Guard your integrity with all you have, because you can always fall back on it.
A gold medal is a nice thing – but if you’re not enough without it, you’ll never be enough with it – From Cool Runnings
8. One who takes pride in their accomplishments, yet acknowledges other achievers.
Just as much as we see in others we have in ourselves – William Hazlit
9. One who dresses like success, carries themselves like a million bucks and speaks like everyone should be listening.
Always hold your head up,but be careful to keep your nose at a friendly level – Max L Forman
When you look in the mirror what do you see? One who is self-confident enough to take control of their lives, or one who lets others run them around?
Let me conclude with these words:
I am convinced all of humanity is born with more gifts than we know. Most are born geniuses and just get de-geniused rapidly – Buckminster Fuller
